I loved Fords when I was little. Correction, I loved top spec Fords. Cortina 1600E and GT, Capri 3000V6, Escort RS2000 and Granada Ghias. Great stuff. Too bad Dad would only buy the lesser spec ones. Still, it was close. In the 80's and 90's it all went wrong. They made horrible cars. Mk3 Escorts, Sierras, early Mondeos, and worst of all, Scorpios. I shifted my allegiance to Germany - VW, BMW, Porsche (In my dreams)... Then without warning, sometime in the early 00's, Ford started making good cars again and I find myself driving one. Top tip: If you're going to drive a Ford, get one with the big shiny wheels. I quite like this car...
