If you’ve got to dress smart, I’ve always thought it best to do it like you mean it. Ill fitting polyester shirts and badly tied ties just don’t work. And if you’re wearing a collar and tie, for Dog’s sake, wear a proper jacket or even a suit. Trouble comes when you have no budget for such fancy things. eb*y to rescue then, as, I’m supposed to dress at least a bit smart for work. I’ve bought a collection of 19 silk ties for £7 and Jermyn Street shirts for £3.99. My latest bargain is a “new with tags” suit for, well, lets just say that having it pressed and the legs shortened a couple of inches cost considerable more than the suit! And this morning a pair of cufflinks arrived for £1.98 including postage... Now if I could find some double cuff shirts a 50p a go...
