After 12 days frozen, the thaw. Yesterday afternoon we were hit by blizzards and drifting snow. Our road impassable. We still have lying snow, and still deep in places, but by morning the roads were more or less clear and this afternoon the temperature hit 7ºC (45ºF) under a clear blue sky.
The ice on the roof of chicken run slowly cut itself into tiny cubes, peeled away and fell through the wire.
