Jan 19: Theory

Nothing nicer than an evening in front of the fire with a bit of music. In this case a bit of chord theory with the uke. I never learned much theory with the guitar. I just muddled through with a few chords and scales, without really knowing how they really worked. The three chord trick and the pentatonic scale can get you a long way, and at the same time, not very far at all! An ukulele isn't a guitar, so I'm having to learn new things, so bought an ebook "How to play ukulele chord progressions" to help. Full of interesting and useful things to help build new chord sequences, and adapt ones you've stolen to make them your own. Why didn't I learn this stuff 20 years ago???

Talking of 20 years ago, that's about when I met LA, although she was LF back then. For big exciting news see her post!

If you'd learnt it 20 years ago you wouldn't be having fun learning it now. Fantastic news. I can't stop smiling.

there's LOTS of tricks you (collectively, not just YOU) didn't learn twenty years ago . . . the good thing is, you(especially YOU) are doing GOOD things now

AND CONGRATS!!
