I figured out the equatorial mount on the telescope. The scales are for RA, (right ascension, and dec, Declination. Once you can get your telescope pointing at a known star, any other object can be located by the use of these scales. Seems a lot of people don't care for such olde fashioned ways and have computer guided mounts. Pah, who needs computers? ight, now what's the RA and dec of my wine glass...
