Dave,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your Retina II with that Rodenstock glass and all!
I just recently had to part with my aging Leica in a trade with B&H Photo in NYC for
Photoshop CS3 and lots of extra cash!

WOOHOO HAppy Birthday!

I've been looking for a suitable B&W subject to shoot for your birthday, but as it is now 11:45, I thought I should at least get a HAPPY BIrthday in!

Hi David - love your work, especially the B+Ws - you have a great eye for them. I used to be a daily PoTD visitor too. Glad to see someone else still liking film here, 120 format FP4 in Rodinal just can't be beat IMHO.

Hi David
I stumbled across your galleries today as I was browsing through the PaD galleries. They are amazing, you do wonderful work! I really enjoyed having a look through them, thanks for sharing your talent with us.

Please, please, please---identify this image:http://www.pbase.com/vid64/image/16255834&exif=N. Trying to figure it out is driving me crazy.

I really like the composition of this photo, especially the missing branch. Would you consider making it available for our charitable not for profit organization's invitations to our supporters for our 40th anniversary party? We provide low cost and free subsidized camp experiences to children, teens, and families in Alberta, Canada?
Thank you in advance,
Greg King

Hello David, Just had a look at your site -P-Base-very good shots-
Do you do much editing on shots from the 300D-Shots are very good especialy the volkswagon shot--Headlamp and black bonnet. I am just about to go over to digital-SLR.
and would be interested to know your technic for processing image.

Regards Gordon UK.PS have been used to darkroom work for the past 50 years so digital will be a challenge for me-although have done some scanning of negs and can get prints as good -if not better than wet prints. But having tried digi capture think it will be more
convenient.

Thanks for your nice comments on our Studebaker. Your VW is a really sharp car, and your pictures of it are outstanding.

Thanks for your nice note about my dog Denali. I just visited your site and loved the image of Rosie sleeping. Your other photos are wonderful, too.

Dear Mr Mingay

I have been looking for a picture for the cover of a publication for the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and found your "Just starting to rain" Image. The booklet is called "Catching the rain – A successful partnership
restores drylands in Tunisia"

You've got a lot of great pictures in all of your galleries. Don't put your camera down. I've regreted it.

W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L. Your gallery looks like a page out of a stock photography book...only better. Even the photos of everyday objects have a new twist. Well done!

Just surfing around pbase and happened on your site.
Like your slightly "off center" tongue in cheek perspective.
I'll look at more when I have some time.
Keep up the good work.
