Parabolic Reflector Pieces

These images are designed to aid in the construction of a parabolic reflector. An approximate parabaloid will result if the following instructions are followed.

Each image corresponds to a different approximation. The number on the picture name is the number of pieces comprising the reflector.

To build a reflector, print out one of the images. Use it as a guide to cut the material you have chosen to build the reflector out of. Cut as many pieces as the number in the picture name.

After the pieces are cut, affix the pieces to each other along the long edges. Make sure the points all are oriented toward the center of the reflector.

If this is to be a parabolic microphone, the correct placement of the microphone is the distance indicated from the line to the point.
