Neither of these pictures is mine. However, I am the model in the first.
On the top, I am pictured walking down the road near San Cristobal,
Alta Verapaz in Guatemala. This picture was on the June 1971 calendar
page published by Wycliffe Bible Translators. My father took the picture.

The bottom picture is a crop from the July 2008 page of a Hubble Space
Telescope calendar. Pictured is the Omega Nebula (Swan Nebula/M17).

I combined these images like this because I find the similarity of the
images startling. Actually, I only had the memory of the top image in
my mind, when, midway through July, I glanced at the nebula picture and
I got goose bumps, because it seemed like it was that picture of me.

I sent word out to kids of Bible translators from my parents' mission,
and someone located a calendar and sent it to me. Pretty cool.
