From your images of Taiwan, I can see that it might have changed beyond recognition for me. I lived in Chungli, in Taoyuan, and I was attached to someone living in Kwanhsi, In Hsinchu County. This was all in the late 1970s. I sure don't remember anywhere looking like this.
