Donkey is wise to stay his comfortable office, he preferred not to think about his gain.
his colleagues gestured me that I could get in and take photographs of Donkey,
I would not disturb him, I presumed that he dreamed about a slice of steak.
Taipei hits record temperature of 39.3 degrees
It was the hottest day in over a century today in Taipei. The thermometer peaked at 39.3 degrees, and forecasters say it may be even hotter tomorrow.
At 12:50 today, the mercury climbed to a record high in Taipei. It didn’t stop there. It kept getting hotter, until 1:58,
when the thermometer at the Taipei weather station read 39.3 degrees,
the highest the station ever recorded and the seventh highest reading ever in Taiwan.
Some residents sought to beat the heat by eating shaved ice.
This shop in Taipei said business was up by a third. It had to add a new block of ice every five minutes.
Beverage shops also saw customers rise in line with the temperature.
The Central Weather Bureau explained the cause of the heat.
Cheng Ming-dean(CWB Lead Forecaster):
The high pressure system over the Pacific is very strong. Also, a relatively warm air mass from China happened to move east over Taiwan.
Most areas in the Taipei Basin were extremely hot at noon today.
The bureau expects the stifling weather to continue tomorrow and says a new record high is possible. http://englishnews.ftv.com.tw/read.aspx?sno=A1583E5EDCF8478F39A189EA0892E3ED
