March

Da-an District Taipei

I had to amble along the way to the supermarket this afternoon, police controlled the traffic in the region of Da-an and Zhong-zheng districts.
I heard the department store clerks said 'The stores were almost empty' in an adjacent district.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – An estimated 150,000 angry Taiwanese marched through the center of the capital Taipei Sunday to give expression
to their fury against the alleged incompetence of President Ma Ying-jeou and his government.
150,000 protest against Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou's policies
DPP joined by students, anti-nuclear campaigners, workers http://www.etaiwannews.com/etn/list_en.php?cate=TAIWAN_eng.xml

"Fury Protest" is their slogan, I was pleased to see the paraders were in an orderly way.

It can be quite frightening when there is an angry crowd. Good documentary pictures, Vickie.
