Studio light, Learning

For any of you who are considering buying some studio lights be advised...learning curve ahead.
This is my very, very first trial shoot with a monolight. White Lightning X800 to by precise.
I bought a bunch of stuff and after reading a good bit I realized the worst possible starting point is to try to use "a bunch of stuff".
I backed off and decided minimalist-for-the-novice was a better starting point.
A couple of books focused on one light portraits.
Most of what follows is a single bounce umbrella-left and white wall right for fill and spill from everywhere in the small condo living room...ie. minimalist.
Good luck to anyone else starting to learn this art and much respect from me if you've mastered this.
