It couldn't be better Vernon. I'd like to know how your thinking works on a shot like this. Did you shoot aperture priority with flash on purpose to prevent a blacked out background? It did give you 1/30s on an 85mm lens - dangerous for shake. If there is enough ambient light it could cause a double blurry image. Perhaps full manual f/5.6+1/125 would have been safer? I'm thinking as long as the shutter speed is not higher than 1/250s on the D2x, shutterspeed should have no effect on the flash contribution to the ligthing, but shutterspeed does have effect on the ambient contribution to the lighting.
