Playing with macro...or more correctly here micro(greater than 1:1)

The lower shot is 1:1 with my ancient Nikkor 55.. f2.8...nothing special.
This little guy (gal?) is only about 1.5 cm long.

The upper is the 55mm with Kenko extension tubes that economically get to at least 5x magnification.

I think the brown bug saliva is probably some king of anti-human toxin. He was furious at being forced to pose...likely no more so than my teenage daughter typically is.



Yeah, yeah...I didn't shoot these today but it's pouring outside and I'm stuck in L&D trying to coax yet another recalcitrant fetus through another marginal pelvis. Good day.
