A visit to "Vogelsang", one of a handful of exclusive training camps where, at the beginning of and during World War II, young Germans were turned into submissive people whose sole purpose was to follow orders without ever questionining the fascist regime.
This place has only been open to the public since January 2006. Its purpose is to serve as a reminder of what happened in Germany and to make people aware that it must never happen again. After the war it was used as a training camp for the British and from 1950 onwards the Belgian army. (The Belgians have only recently handed this place back over to the German authorities.)
