On Day 12 we just had to walk downhill into Chamonix for two hours from Refuge Bel Lachat. We were surrounded by thunder and lightning from three different directions and arrived in Chamonix looking very wet indeed. Our hosts from Chalet Anchorage, where we had also spent the first night, were kind enough to pick us up and we spent a relaxing afternoon there.

We had one spare day before taking the minibus to Geneva in the afternoon.
