Gary sold me the camera which shot a lot of the early pix....no light meter and a shutter that got a bit sticky and unevenly exposed a lot of them (thank god for the Adobe burn and dodge tools) The little enlarger that Rick Martin sold me also didn't expose two corners at one end or t'other... take your pick. So some got cropped whether they needed it or not. Luckily I've never been hung up on perfection....to say the least (Hey, it's digital! fix'em yerself!)
Gary broke his leg really badly when someone playfully shoved him from behind down on the beach. It took a year of painful rehab to get back to near normal. A couple of years later someone else on the beach shoved him in much the same way, though not even nearly knocking him down.Nevertheless, he broke out all over into a drenching sweat.
Nice Guy....As far as I know he died of AIDS, one of the early ones....
