If you look at Thomas #00376 which definitely IS Thomas - #14 doesn't look like same facial structure - or body for that matter, to me.....if VBWL is in touch, maybe TH himself can put this mystery to rest... Wow - a pic of Jolly!! I remember him too - where are they now?

I thought I had a picture of Thomas in front of the pavillion but now I'm thinking that maybe I just remember seeing him on that day . The additional negs of the group shot are no help at all. There are two pictures of him from 87 in his galleryhttp://www.pbase.com/venicepix/thomas_haig , but again, I'm just thinking that I remember them as being Thomas, although he appears to be with Marc in one, but of course Marc doesn't look like the long haired Marc of earlier pix. The only Manuel I remember is on the right in: http://www.pbase.com/venicepix/image/44830098 and I have quite a few pictures of him, starting at the very beginning, but I don't remember ever seeing him later on. The question is: Does venicepix have memories that don't spring out of pictures? Venicepix used to know the answer to that one but he forgot.....

haha told ya !! and thomas has been around the Venice scene from way before my time . I think the last time I saw him was at one of dj Buck's parties in the hood . oh and my board is not a JT it was a Fred Smith III , I had a Jt board right after this one, (my recall is a bit off due to herbal enchantment) .Cooksie was a good wall riding teacher , he had them dialed. Jeff Hartsell. taught me the art of 'Slappy's " on windwards overly painted red curbs .with the ALVA factory close to Venice high I had plenty of decks from the seconds palatte to choose from for cheap.

I don't know everyone here but it's time to settle a few! #2 IS Scott Oster and #14 IS Thomas Haag 'cause I've got other pix, same day. Hats off [and absolutely NO irony this time]to Thomas who I consider to be one of the early guys responsible for Venice being....well Venice, skate epicenter of the Universe....(would I exagerate?)---There's a gallery in the making but you guys keep distracting me!!!

Lil Peter was a nut !! I don't think that's him though he was a lil older than that the year this was shot. and yes #13 is ME !! Kelly , lol I know my own grill hahaha. to tell the truth I kinda remember this day . lets just say we all finished "giving thanks" I miss my old JT board !! I pulled my first frontside wall ride on that deck . I even had my Alva shirt on. The Alva boys showed me much love back in the day. The factory was close to Venice high, I'd go by there and mess with Jeff and JT running the silk screens.best spot to get a "seconds" deck which in my opinion would be worth bank now because they had weird colorsheme or unfinished silk screen work. but heck a deck is a deck in my book all the art gets grinded off on the "olympic benches" any ways
