*****To Randy, Stewart is a grand ol' man of the breakwater (see 00503, below) But when I met him I believe he was just starting out in Venice. It was always easy to get a good shot of him.....amd he didn't seem to mind posing either....

Nah, I wasn't "...just starting out in Venice". I grew up on Ocean Front Walk (#2407, next door to Matt and Chris Warshaw, and down the block from Jay, Kent & Fellaine. I'd just been forced a mile away for a couple of years, up by the North Venice Little League Field; and had gotten my first apartments on my own at 17 over the Breakwater and by the Jetty when it was going off. And yah, I'm embarrassed to admit that I was a bit of a poser when asked to pose; but I could back it up with a solid barrel from behind the rocks from time to time. I was blessed to be part of that realm.
