Froggy had this plan to skate the pool at the Et Motel in West L.A. "The Et Motel?" I asked...."Et Motel??" Finally he explained..."well, it used to be the Jet Motel, but the J fell offa the sign..."
I was still somewhat incredulous that any motel would allow a bunch of hooligans to skate in their empty pool so Froggy assured me by squeaking out, with some embarassment, that "it's the kinda motel where you go to f**k a lady" At that point I figured that they might toss us out but probably wouldn't call the cops
...so we packed some cans and buckets, sponges and towels ( to bail out the stagnent rainwater) and my ladder ( I couldn't afford a wide-angle lens) and off we went.For all I know the Et motel may have been charging extra for rooms with a view of the pool...if nothing else , every time a group of skaters showed up they were getting their pool cleaned. We were free mosquito abatement!
