With two runners run besides themselves the lead runner support van provides water to both team members. Teamwork one of the trademarks of this race, the examples covered everything from a simple bottle of water or gatorade, to basic life suppport for a down or ijuried runner, or the loaning of equipment that one team had as extra and another team had forgot.
Throughout the race it didn't matter when you needed help everyone was on the same team.
