The water tower at Dry Lake Nevada

Dry Lake Nevada

Build during the years of steam to cool the engines winter and summer in the desert. Then used again on the pig train service with the livestock cars full of pigs traveling through the desert to their end at Farmer John's in Los Angeles California, one of the last stops before disembarking was Dry Lake where each car was heavily hosed down to keep the animals alive through the heat of the desert. The tower still stands this early mornig shot as the high moon slowly sinks towards sun rise.
