In early 2006 I found this mixed young dog about six months old being chased around by some neighborhood kids down the street. I took the dog away from them and brought her home. She was part Healer/Austrian Shepherd mix her winter coat was a mixture of blacks, white, and dabs of brown and grays, soft and shiny.
As I got to know her better I found out that she was shy and afraid of fast hand movements. Either because of the kids or someone else. Soon she became more comfortable around me, we would take walks together since with other animals in the home and back yard she had a dog run to her self. Once summer arrived so did her coat a wiry mix of hair but the back yard became all her with the loss of my other dog. She became accustomed to being around cats, especially Jack and Chloe they became the best of friends.
The following year I moved into another house, each day I come home to a wagging tail and friendly face. No matter what my day had been like or problem that arised Daisy was there with her wagging tail and wet kisses. An escape from the drama that sometime surrounded me, it never mattered to her my mood, she could always bring a smile to my face.
Her world seemed to be made of habits, if she was outside and I was at my near by PC she be at the slider, occasionally taking patrols around the backyard, returning to the slider waiting for attention from me. At night she sleep by the bedroom slider three feet and a piece of glass seperating us. Each morning with a tap of the glass she look up and tail wagging, following me around.
Today was like any other day, except for the phone call telling me that Daisy was gone found asleep forever in her morning cool off spot. R I P Daisy you were a great best friend.

I'm glad you found her and gave so much. She was also glad you found her and was happy to return the favor. I'm sorry she's gone but great memories will remain. Thanks for sharing these photos and the story. V
