Canada's Loss

Canada had a population of 8 million in 1914 - at War's break-out.
During the course of the War;
619636 served (nearly 8% of the population);
424000 overseas;
172000 wounded (over 9000 with 'Shell Shock' - the PTSD of the day);
59544 killed (plus 150 from the RCN and 1388 in the British Air Services)
