Aurora

Aurora seen on 20th Nov in Edinburgh.
Being an urban area with street lights, really only the luminosity could be seen, but at 15sec with the A40 on the 'vivid' setting, this is the result.
(Next time I'll take my tripod :-)

I have only heard about the Aurora Borealis, and have seen it portrayed in "Local Hero" but never have I seen the sky so brilliant as you have captured here. You are so lucky to live somewhere far enough north to witness it! Thanks for sharing this gallery! Wondered what part of Scotland this was shot in.
