So you didn't get the two lens kit? When I bought my 510 I bought it with the two lens kit - then a short time later I bought the 70-300mm lens (which I love) I am toying with the idea of the getting the EC-14 tele converter. Will be interested in seeing your shots with the 500mm lens.

Thanks Sandy. So far I'm very happy with the camera. I have the 14-42mm lens on the E-510 and Minolta 75-300mm on the Sony A100. I'm waiting for the OM adapter so that I can hook my 500mm lens to the E-510.
