Sugarhouses for the production of maple syrup from sap are usually characterized by a
shuttered cupola atop the roof for venting the copious steam generated in the process.
Each one is uniquely designed, although this one situated on a Geauga County farm might be
considered "typical." I hope to visit and photograph several more in coming weeks during
"open houses" that some of them hold for visitors. This one is not participating though.
