I was hiking Saturday on a desert ridge above Rancho Mirage California, when I heard a series of explosions.
Looking down to Palm Springs, I could see smoke near the airport, and counted 21 explosions.
Shortly after that, this plane flew overhead, which it turned out was Air Force One taking the late President Gerald Ford's body to Washington D.C. for the final ceremonies.
