I didn't figure the exposure, I used Aperture Priority and the camera figured it out for itself. I had to dial in about +1EV exposure compensation. Also, I "painted" the top half of the large pumpkin with a flashlight for a few seconds to fill in the shadows.

Nice photo, but then I looked at the settings... and thought to myself, 'wow', 13s f/8.0 with the kit lens... now that's a 'Wow', how'd you figure this exposure?
