Gary-- I visited Pismo Beach once: (http://www.pbase.com/vbcooke/image/6466156 ). Didn't see a single Monarch! What a difference a couple of months makes, LOL! Although places here are along their migratory path, it was a weak showing this year. I think they all went to Pismo instead!

So that's where all of my monarchs have gone. I guess they don't like the 35 degree temperatures. Nice shot!
