I believe these are the Maroon Bells (elevation 14,156), north of Crested Butte, CO.
This was an incredible place, and we are so glad we just stumbled upon it - and before
the storm hit.

What a gorgeous photo! I visited Maroon Bells several years ago when I lived in Denver. It was a dreary day, and we didn't have the spot of sunshime that makes your photo so great. My photo is at http://www.pbase.com/mrquietguy/image/46760985
