Vic Cooke

This may look like a toy, but it is actually an exhibition "wheelstander" drag racing car customized to suggest a fire truck and with pyrotechnic sparklers to add some dazzle.
Very popular for the kiddies. This was the "finale" of a racing event Saturday evening at Norwalk, Ohio, and from the exif info you can see it took quite a bit of effort to capture.

Olympus E-100RS
1/30s f/2.8 at 20.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Thanks Vic!..for the updated info and answer to my question(s)...I have been trying to "learn" the exposure bias (part) ; found in the EXIF (what it represents)..Thanks....In Christ...Ed~

Yes, Ed, this was a pan shot. Difficulty varies, but this one was hard because of the amount of zoom, the long exposure time and the fact that the subject was accelerating and not moving at a steady speed. The camera metering doesn't know it's nightime and tries to make the image too bright. The negative EV darkens it to more like the appearance of the actual scene to the human eye.

really, it does look just like one of those diecast toys. And maybe the toys even come with sparks now. Wild picture.

Where do you buy one of these? It should work well for tailgaters. 8^)

SLICK SHOT VIC! COOL! (You must have panned with it!? That's gotta be hard with digital?) ...What does the -1/3 Exposure bias represent? (Thanks....) In Christ Ed~
