On October 02nd, 2004 the Queen Mary 2 arrived in Sydney Harbor, Nova Scotia, Canada. This was a very special visit and news reports state this is the largest, longest, tallest and widest passenger ship ever built. Celebrations were held on the waterfront to commemorate the role of the original Queen Mary during World War 2; transporting troops overseas.
Although I have several close-up photos of the Queen Mary 2, I chose this one which as you will note shows a small section of very rusted rail from a nearby railway track along the coast. In many areas rail traffic has been either lessened or ceased completely. One can not help but wonder what changes will have taken place looking back one hundred years from today.
