~Clark Bridge~
Alton IL

These golden (bright yellow) supports are awesome.
There is a two-hour PBS documentary on the building of this bridge.

They're simply painted bright yellow.

Are they lit by evening sunlight or just strong lightings? Nice shot.

Interesting that you should bring up the moire effect. The full image brought into PS showed it strongly at some zoom settings, but at others, both greater and smaller, not at all. The mystery. Well, I'm sure it's not mysterious to those with a greater understanding of vision and pixels.

one thing more - I think that such architecture/construction photo needs some more correct setting in vertical lines - now bridge looks like it is falling to the left... (not good for a brand new bridge :) )

hehe - that bridge supportes will be another good location to test Nikon's D70 "moire" effect :) we also have a new bridge in my city - pictures coming soon :)

The lines are quite nice. Good capture of the bridge.

What an unusual design. With all of the different types of bridges, I guess they're the "art" of engineers. Looks like you could play a song on the strings...

At first Glance it looked like a couple of sailboats passing!
