My wife however decided to challenge me with very bright red and green clothing. Also, Santa's bag on the floor by my daughter's feet was this garish red velvet directly in the sunlight. The Rebel didn't know quite what to do with it as well as the green of my son's pants. Of course, I didn't know what to do with the Rebel either...I had just gotten the lens the day before.

This was converted from RAW in Capture One Rebel Edition. +0.5 exposure compensation, a slight white balance correction (the side light was sunlight, the overhead flourescent), slight focus (sharpening) in C1. Photoshop was used only to clone out the hat rack and the little sliver of window in the upper left. On-board flash was used.
