I'm sorry but this was indeed taken last week.
We were on an Alaskan cruise and just returned
home yesterday. I hope it's okay to make an exception
this time! This is the tail of a humpback mother
whale. Her baby was close behind her but I wasn't
able to get it in the photo. There are a few more

Norma Jean..... This is a wonderful capture. I've never even seen a picture of a Humpback before....Neat looking creature and I can well imagine how difficult it was to get the shot just right. Congratulations! Terri

Good catch! Since I was out Whale Watching myself just last month, I know first hand how difficult getting a whale tail "high five" can be.
