Looks very similar to the Hindustan Motors Ambassador line of cars - second longest car line in continuous production (1st VW Beetle).

My father had a Morris Cowley which looked basically the same but only had a 1200cc engine. It was a dreadful thing to get started if there was the slightest hint of cold and/or damp. I first learnt to drive on a grey "Fergie" tractor on my friend's farm but all my road learning was in the Morris Cowley. It had a column gearchange if I remember correctly. I drove it thousands of miles.
