the ferry building was renovated and reopened in 2003 with a permanent marketplace, restaurants, offices, and a farmer's market on certain days (i'll have a tour of the ferry building at some point in the future, i hope)... this shows the outdoor seating area for marketbar, one of the new restaurants, which faces onto the embarcadero... find out more about the ferry building marketplace here
