A typical Kuyenda round hut

Kuyenda Camp, Zambia Africa

Kuyenda is a bushcamp. It is small and designed to accomodate eight or so people. This makes for an intimate group. South Luangwa National Park was one of the few parks to allow walking safaris. It was not unusual to take a walking safari in the morning and another in the afternoon. Walking safaris are not allowed in the evening or at night. Night time is the killing time in Africa.

The night drive started after sundowners around sunset and went on until dinner time which could be 9:30 or 10pm depending on what we encountered in our drive.
