1. Marantz still exists. It is owned by D & M Holdings, which owns Denon and McIntosh.

I had this exact same receiver growing up in the late 70s/early 80s. I recently bought a SR5001 and although it's a bit bright, I love it nonetheless. Does yours still sound good?
