This is the side yard that is seen from the kitchen window and is overlooked by the deck.
When I moved into this house, the window looked out on my neighbor's driveway
which had a VW van and car that were "projects" that her son was working on.

I decided to extend the fence and make a garden in the area instead.

I am very happy with how it turned out. I mostly planted perenials that are easy maintenance.
