What did she do to deserve this!!!

This poor dog is chained to the old truck. It has about 2 feet of chain left that isn't tangled. A co-worker of mine lives nearby and is throwing food down for the dog as the owner has deserted it, but can't get near it because it is aggressive. She did put some water in a clean bucket she got but it is no longer there. The bucket near the dog is dirty and has debris in it. No one lives in this trailer, it is rented by some guy that allows transients to crash there. This dog belongs to one of the transients that hasn't been around for weeks. She had 2 puppies that have disappeared and is suspected to be pregnant again.

My friend is currently trying to get some help getting the dog out of those conditions. When I pulled up to take the pictures, she could only reach about 2 feet or less from the truck due to the chain being tangled.

This is the only shelter she has

As of today, 09-20-2008. she is still chained to the truck. We are contacting everyone possible to get her out of there.

Very sad story. Did she ever get any help ? So sad.

She is most likely pregnant again. She had a litter of puppies about 6 months ago. Have been trying to get someone for the past week to come help but their is a lack of staff to handle this kind of problem. Also this is a county that has 1 animal control officer for the entire county.
