Mary hung this in the upstairs kids bathroom in the old house
shortly after she painted it. It is still hanging in my bathroom.
As Mary's art, this painting shows her early interest & influence by folk art, in this case though not readily apparent, Scandinavian decorative painting.
She studied, taught and practiced rosemĺling, featuring brushed spiralling, with repeated rolling incomplete circles as a design element, which is obvious in this work.
