Although I don't remember Jill doing cityscapes at night for the good reason that I suspect she doesn't live near one, her use of light to create dreamlike, nostalgic images always amazes me.

Great, I'm so glad you caught the train passing. I believe the uprights are the remains of a previous 'London Bridge'.

I just pulled this up in Original size and it's astounding.. the impact is even greater.. the pillars stand out more.. and there is a painterly quality to it..

My nose is practically pressed against my monitor to block out the sunlight from my room to see this image better. This is awefully beautiful. I love how it appears so dreamlike. The light on the railing, which appears to be created by motion is just perfect and the tops of those ( buildings not sure what you all call them in english ) add to the character of this image. Very well done.

Good Lord, you nailed this one. Dreamlike is so right on. A real life collage, layers of reality... Is it snow or rain or noise in the foreground? Love it.

Hi Jeanne, I used a tripod at full extension (6' 4)while standing a top of a high, narrow wall. The things we do for pbase!

sublime my friend: the linearity of the train's wake produces a techno-fetishism that renders the image instnataneously iconic and fashionable, yet for me the overall feeling is alienating yet nostalgic, sinister yet deeply deeply touching. congratulations. how's the llama?

I like the diagonal sweep of light on the bridge, traffic flying by, the railing cutting through the night, set against the vertical stanchions unmoving and in place for decades. The scene balances in 3 V-like shapes - perfect perspective.
