Imagine going to the islands of the Bahamas by the same mode of transportation that takes everything needed on these islands for normal life and to sustain the tourism economy that is foremost for the people there. That's what the mail boats do. They carry everything from lumber to toilet paper to cars/trucks to jet fuel to beer to the out islands from the port in Nassau. I had the opportunity to embark on an adventure to visit these islands during a 16 day period in February of 2017. I was accompanied by two fraternity brothers, one that regularly sails his sloop, Rhombus, to the Bahamas from Florida. It was a great time for three seventy-somethings who first met more than 50 years ago. I hope you enjoy following along with my images from this trip.
