Glendalough has attracted thousands of pilgrims since Kevin's death in 618.
His feast day is still celebrated on June 3. Many legends surround him and
his love of nature. It's ironic that this mystics' place of sacred solitude
has become a popular site. It includes a labrynth for spiritual meditation.
The legend of this so called "wishing cross" is that if you make a wish
and your fingers touch then you get your wish. No telling what Steve wished for.
Edit: I wished that we wouldn't happen upon any more structures that required me
to do strange things. I sadly report that my wish didn't come true.
