Leaping ...
Coming in for a landing -- gear down!
Take off
Delicate wing spread
Getting settled on the braided mud banks within the river
The happy couple taking off
And flying in formation
In flight -- fantastic!

Golden glow
Parents with one adolescent
And on into the river
Gorgeous wings (4 legs?)
Leaping for joy!
Dangling legs for landing
There were 50,000 Cranes - and 2 Killdeer!

Jim (a bit braver, with less layers ...)
Leaving the next morning, with pee bucket in hand!
