Mar '06 - New York

Cynthia was thrilled to attend a conference in New York on tuberculosis drug development, and to be able to present exciting data on the use of her new drug against tuberculosis, to the TB Alliance. She is optimistic that this compound, SCV-07, may be useful for treatment of TB in developing nations. Jim and Cyn took the opportunity to spend a weekend in New York ... to go birding in Central Park, to visit their dear friend Carl Safina out on Long Island (and his very important conservation organization, the Blue Ocean Institute [blueoceaninstitute.org]), and to visit Ground Zero to see the tasteful memorial plans. It was a wonderful trip!!
