The Peace Meeting interpretive site along the new Broadway Promenade pedestrian pathway is a landscaped resting area featuring Aboriginal and European elements reflecting the two cultures. The components of water, fire and earth are prominent. The site is accentuated by two gigantic Adirondack chairs and it’s almost impossible to resist the urge to put your feet up and take in The Forks, the city skyline, the sunset and even, on occasion, a thunderstorm rolling in off the Prairies. The creation of The Peace Meeting interpretive site has been made possible through a grant from The Winnipeg Foundation.
