One of our day trips was to the beautiful town of Siena. Home of the famous Palio di Siena horse race, we had the rare opportunity of being invited into the house of one of the Contrade, or district of which there are 17. We were in the Contrada of the Bruco, or Caterpillar who's members are traditionally in the silk trade.
